Summary

The course is intended to provide an overview and basic working knowledge of the design and applications of Fire Alarms to BS 5839 and Emergency Lighting Systems to BS 5266, without the need to purchase the British Standards. Topics covered include legal requirements, life and property protection, system design and wiring systems. Delegates will be provided with a comprehensive study guide, which includes basic design exercises completed during the course.

The assessment consists of a 30 question multiple-choice test of one hour duration.
